Job Summary
BronxCare Health System’s Department of Orthopedic Surgery is seeking a highly organized and motivated Strategic Operations Associate Manager to support department-wide and hospital-wide initiatives. This unique position works directly with the Chair of Orthopedic Surgery and plays a vital role in managing operations, supporting telehealth programs, conducting strategic and financial analyses, and coordinating special projects.

Key Responsibilities
- Project Coordination & Strategic Support
- Assist in developing and executing departmental and institutional projects.
- Provide administrative and strategic support directly to the Chair.
- Telehealth Program Management
- Serve as Associate Coordinator for BronxCare’s telehealth program.
- Train and onboard users, troubleshoot issues, and optimize workflows.
- Performance Improvement & Data Analysis
- Prepare and analyze QA/PI (Quality Assurance / Performance Improvement) reports.
- Conduct financial and productivity analyses related to cost, revenue, and clinical efficiency.
- Administrative Duties
- Manage executive scheduling, communication, and academic research prep.
- Coordinate with various hospital departments including the IRB and Medical Executive Council.
- Educational & Internship Programs
- Organize and manage student internship programs during the year and summer.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree or healthcare-related background preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in healthcare administration, project management, or operations.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (especially Excel and Word).
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Comfortable learning new software tools (e.g., project management platforms).
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and communicate with leadership.
Schedule
Full-time
Monday to Friday
Occasional early or late meetings based on leadership schedule
Compensation
Base Salary: $94,500 annually
Bonus: Up to 20% merit-based, awarded at the discretion of the Chair
