Human Resources Specialist (Entry Level) - People
Help build and support the federal workforce.
As an entry-level HR Specialist, you'll support the work that helps agencies recruit, develop, and take care of their people. You'll learn HR operations, get hands-on with workforce data, and help employees and supervisors navigate the systems they rely on.
What you'll do
- Support HR operations and manage personnel data
- Help employees and supervisors with questions and documentation
- Prepare reporting and support compliance
- Contribute to process improvements across the employee lifecycle
- Use approved AI-enabled tools to summarize HR policy and guidance, support workforce data analysis, and draft employee-facing materials for review (training provided)

- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Comfort working with data and documentation
- Discretion and good judgment with sensitive information
The basics
- Pay: $50,460–$121,371/year (spans multiple grades and duty locations; your offer depends on grade and location).
- Location: Onsite. Hiring nationwide, including Atlanta, Austin, Chicago, Dallas, Denver, Houston, New York, Philadelphia, San Diego, Washington DC, and more.
