Company Description: SOB's is a legendary live music venue and nightclub in the lower Manhattan neighborhood of SoHo, renowned as the premier venue in New York City for Brazilian, African, Latin, R&B, Hip-Hop, Haitian, Caribbean, Alternative, and World music. Often referred to as “the place where legends are made,” SOB’s has been proud to serve as a launch-point for the music industry’s greatest rising stars, with alumni spanning every genre and corner of the globe. After four decades of shaping New York City nightlife, SOB’s continues to define what’s next — introducing the next generation of artists and sounds to the city’s stage. Among the venue's earliest performers were Latin legends Tito Puente, Marc Anthony, Celia Cruz, and Los Van Van; reggae and dancehall pioneers Burning Spear, Toots and the Maytals, and Buju Banton; and Hip Hop and R&B icons including Wu-Tang Clan, DMX, Mos Def, KRS-One, Tribe Called Quest, Talib Kweli, Erykah Badu, Jill Scott, SWV, and more. That tradition continued with a new generation of superstars, including Drake, Kanye West, Kendrick Lamar, Justin Timberlake, J. Cole, Anderson .Paak, Cardi B, Sean Paul, Machel Montano, Wizkid, Tems, Davido, Rema, and more, many of whom played their first New York City headline shows on the SOB’s stage.
