Construction Management Intern
PMCnc, an owner's representative and construction project management consultancy based in Raleigh-Durham, NC, is looking for a Construction Management Intern to join our team. With 37 years and 127 projects delivered across the Triangle — representing $1.4 billion in client value — PMCnc helps clients make confident decisions on complex real estate projects from planning through construction and close-out. This is a coached, hands-on role for a self-directed student with a construction background who wants more than an observer's seat: you'll work directly alongside our team on live projects spanning schools, healthcare, life sciences, corporate, civic, and housing work, supporting tasks across planning, design, and construction, reviewing drawings and permit submittals, joining job walks and site visits, and helping monitor budgets and schedules — while training toward your FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate to capture drone footage for site documentation.
We're looking for someone currently pursuing a degree or credential in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field, with hands-on construction experience (fieldwork, a trade, a family business, or a prior internship) and a genuine interest in becoming a project manager. The schedule is flexible — 15–20 hours/week during the school year, built around your classes, with the option to go full-time (35–40 hrs/week) over the summer. Work is mostly virtual with regular site visits throughout the Triangle, plus an optional desk at The Loading Dock coworking space in Raleigh; pay is $20–$25/hour based on experience. Candidates should be local to the Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill area and available for occasional in-person meetings and job site visits.
