Buying Operations Specialist

Buying Operations Specialist
The Buying Operations Specialist is responsible for the accurate creation and maintenance of master data, of purchase orders and to manage receipt reconciliation. In addition, they play a crucial role in developing and maintaining strong relationships with vendors as well as their counterparts in buying, planning, ecommerce, supply chain and inventory control.
 
Responsibilities
·      Master Data set up and maintenance
·      Purchase Order creation
·      Owning and determining size scales for orders
·      Purchase Order maintenance including closing PO's, Delivery & Markdown Month & User Defined Attributes
·      Reconciliation of receipts against on order
·      Tracking of shipments
·      Return to Vendor tracking and follow up with Inventory Control and Distribution Center
·      Keying markdown price changes into the system
·      Coordinate and communicate ticketing needs for vendors
·      Act as the liaison between the distribution center and vendors when questions arise
·      Maintain a friendly and professional relationship with vendors while promoting company initiatives and values
Requirements

·      Strong communication and project management skills
·      Ability to work independently and/or collaboratively with other groups, as necessary
·      Ability to manage multiple tasks and adapt to a changing and fast-paced environment
·      Passion, energy and enthusiasm to drive results with a team-oriented approach
·      College Degree preferred
·      Fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by December 27th, 2021, or approved for an exemption as a reasonable accommodation under state and/or federal law. “Fully vaccinated” means that you are beyond 2 weeks or more after receipt of the second dose in a 2-dose series (ex., Pfizer, Moderna, etc.), or 2 weeks or more after receipt of one dose of a single-dose vaccine (ex., Johnson & Johnson).
