2022 - Corporate Actions Analyst - NCRAM - NYC

Description of Business:
NCRAM is a registered investment advisor managing approximately $31 billion in fixed income assets including high yield bonds, leveraged loans, emerging markets and distressed issues. 

Position: This position is within NCRAM’s High Yield Operations Group

Position Summary:
This position provides overall support to the High Yield investment team with respect to voluntary corporate actions

Minimum Requirements:
  • 1+ years corporate actions experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance. (GPA: 3.0 or better)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Excel
  • Must be detail oriented and have great analytical skills
  • Motivated and eager to work in an asset management environment with very manual processes
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Excellent telephone, organizational, and interpersonal skills
  • Written and verbal communication skills must be very strong

Supervisory Responsibilities:
None

Independence of Operations:
This position will report to the Supervisor in Corporate Actions. All duties will be performed in accordance with established policies and procedures

Job Functions:
  • Corporate Actions management – tracking of internal and external deadlines
  • Corporate Actions processing – making elections according to the High Yield investment team’s advice and completing any supplemental documentation, where required
  • Liaising with clients and custodians to ensure all elections are received and processed in a timely manner
  • Preparing a supervisory checklist/event packet for review and sign off by a Supervisor
  • Proxy Voting analysis and processing
  • Loan amendments processing
  • Physical check and security deposit with custodians
  • Facilitate communication between front and back offices
  • Facilitate communication between front office and Compliance
  • Review and resolve corporate action reconciliation breaks (custody positions, cash, etc.) on a daily/monthly basis
  • Assist in resolving settlement issues between back office, brokers and custodians stemming from corporate actions
  • Scanning and filing/organizing data for audit
  • Perform ad-hoc requests
