Financial Systems Intern

Position:                     Financial Systems Intern
Location:           Nationwide/Remote
FLSA Status:         Non-exempt
Salary:             $15/Hourly
Hours per week:     20 to 30 hours
Time Frame:        May 30th - August 18th, 2023
 
 
Position Description:
 
UNICEF USA seeks a Finance intern for its New York office. The intern will work in collaboration with UNICEF USA Director of Financial Systems and various other Finance members remotely and in the New York office to assist with the financial business applications.

This internship would provide an opportunity to learn about:
• Understanding the relationship between financial systems and business processes
• Project Management and associated documentation
• Understanding of the financial requirements for UNICEF
 

Key Responsibilities/Projects:

• Support Director with day-to-day financial systems activities
• Partner in developing training materials on financial systems for new functionality
• Assist in tracking JIRA tickets submitted by end-users
 

Qualifications:

• Must be a current student enrolled in a College or University degree program
• Interest in business information systems and finance
• The ideal candidate will be a resourceful and energetic with the ability to manage multiple priorities and work
autonomously with attention to detail
• Analytical, innovative and a team player mentality are necessary for success in this role
• Proven ability to work well with a diverse group of people in a team setting; additional language(s) a plus
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written; experience working with cross-country teams a plus
• Fluency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel is preferred
• Must be a highly motivated team player who enthusiastically embraces the mission of UNICEF and UNICEF USA
• Must demonstrate UNICEF USA Core Values: Trust, Respect, Accountability, Innovation, Teamwork and Service
 
 
Must possess current and valid US Work Authorization and be eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
