The Juvenile Diabetes Cure Alliance (JDCA), a non-profit advocacy organization that works to accelerate a cure for Type 1 Diabetes, seeks a part-time Communications & Administration Associate to support the team with research projects, marketing, and editorial-related communications. The position is a great fit for someone passionate about Type 1 Diabetes and interested in expanding their research and communication skills in a nonprofit environment. .

Position Specs:

• Fully remote: the candidate can be based anywhere in the Eastern time zone.
• Part-time/hourly (16-24 hours per week) between 9am to 5pm EST.
• Required daily virtual team call at 9am on scheduled workdays.
• Compensation is commensurate with experience.
• Duration: 3 months with the possibility of extension based on performance

Responsibilities and Duties

• Support the JDCA with research, editing, and marketing development.
• Adhere to the JDCA voice and style guide.
• Multitask effectively and efficiently.
• Gain a working knowledge of T1D and cure research conducted in the field.
• Fulfill other duties as needed, such as communicating with constituents, social media account management, and exploratory new business project support.

Qualifications:

• Deep passion and personal connection to T1D.
• Analytical thinker who can identify key insights from different data sources.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Demonstrate willingness to gain familiarity with A.I. capability and implementation.
• Experience with research, administrative support, and social media marketing.
• Curious: willing to take on new challenges and learn from them.
• Ability to work well in a team setting.
• Professional demeanor and self-starter.
