Interns will shadow current Consultants or Senior Consultants in the strategy group at MGT, working alongside members of our teams to execute client work such as managing project plans and preparing meeting materials, building knowledge of project and client management. Interns will have opportunities to research, analyze data, and collaborate to generate impactful solutions.

This internship aims to expand the diversity of thinking, experiences, and identities within the social impact consulting field and provide interns with the training and opportunities to build foundational skills and work on actual projects and initiatives. The internship will be an in-person opportunity in our New York Office from June to August 2025. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

In this role you will:

  • Participate in training courses that offer broad exposure to social impact consulting and MGT-developed tools (e.g., Bento). Sessions will cover a wide breadth of education topics and will include skill development in the following areas:
    • Conducting research and data analysis
    • Professional writing and communications
    • Foundational project management
    • Developing presentation materials (Google and Microsoft Suite)
  • Through mentorship opportunities, interns will also have formal opportunities to connect with MGT staff and leaders across the education sector
  • Interns will also have an opportunity to complete a capstone project to apply the resources and skills they have learned throughout the internship to a problem of practice

WHAT YOU’LL BRING:

  • Academic Standing: Applicants must be rising college seniors set to graduate in Fall/Winter 2025 or Spring 2026.
  • Location Commitment: All candidates must reside locally in New York, NY for the full duration of the internship, with the ability to commute to the office in the Financial District.

Compensation: Interns will be paid $12,000 over ten weeks ($30/hr based on a 40-hour work week), including paid holidays (Juneteenth and Independence Day); Flexibility for religious observance and sick/personal time. We are unable to provide additional housing financial support at this time.
