Associate Tax Accountant
Rapidly expanding boutique New York City Accounting Firm committed to excellent client service is seeking a motivated individual with an interest in tax accounting to join their team.
This position provides an exciting opportunity to grow within a smaller firm and work alongside its partners. Ideal candidates are those who enjoy interacting directly with clients and are interested in developing long-standing and rewarding relationships with those clients. This individual should have a high level of confidence with tax issue research and problem-solving.
Other responsibilities for this role consist of:
- Preparing federal and state tax returns including individual, corporation and partnership returns; many of which are multistate returns.
- This individual will be assisting team members with accounting, payroll and bookkeeping matters, as well as, assisting them with financial statement preparation and analysis.
- A key facet of this position will be working with the firm’s associates and partners to assist our client base with accounting-related, business operations and business planning matters.
Qualifications for this role consist of:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting a must
- MBA or MS in Accounting a plus
- CPA or CPA exam parts passed a plus
- 150 Credit Hours a plus
- Excellent organizational skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong work ethic
- An individual who prides themselves on dependability and being a team player
