What I liked

I liked that I got to work closely with various members of the Reserving team. I had frequent meetings with manager to ensure that my internship was running smoothly. I was also often advised by my manager to meet with various people throughout the company which I thought was great to provide me more insight on my desired career paths and roles.

What I wish was different

I wish that there were more interns per group. There was an intern group but because it wasn't really structured, other members would often slack off. That is how things are sometimes so I wouldn't necessarily ask for someone to micromanage the process because we are growing into professionals that should have some level of independence.

Advice

I think that Ascot is a great company. As an intern always be ready to take notes because there is a lot of information. Also, stay updated with your emails because colleagues may want fast responses to emails or to have coffee chats.
